It was a great honor to be called to become Executive Director of Johns River Valley Camp in 2017.  More than a camp, it has served as sacred and transformative space for many in the Southern Conference and beyond.

 

It is a place where strangers become friends, where community is built amidst diversity and where people of all ages discover new parts of themselves.  This ground with a river running through it has become a place where people learn anew that they are connected to God, to one another and to all that is.

Our traditional camps are offered as well as our mission camps which are bringing in people from across the country to address poverty and environmental issues in the Southern Appalachian Mountains.
